If you are a collector, and your choice of collectible item is these miniature tumblers, there is no doubt that you can make good use of a shot glass display case. They are tiny items, and need to be kept somewhere safe, where they cannot get broken or be misplaced.

These items that are made for these small glasses come in a variety of sizes that will hold any number of the objects, and are available in a wide variety of styles. Of course, those who have really large collections will have to have a few of them to show off the substantial number of glasses they have accumulated over the years.

They are usually made from wood and glass, with padded, colored velvet at the back of the cabinet, as protection, and also to enhance the look of the set contained inside. Some places that manufacture them give you a choice of four different wood types, as well as sixteen colors for the velvet.

The shelves are normally made from polished glass, with the front being an acrylic slide for easy access, which is completely concealed. You also have the option of the hanging or standing version to choose from. There are those though, for people who take their hobby really seriously, that are made from brass, rare timbers, and various other expensive materials.

Then again, there are people will take it a step further, and use something that will make their collection look really unique. In other words, they improvise, and turn something not intended for the items, into a really eye-catching piece of art. When these everyday things are used in very different ways other than what they intended for, it makes the finished product all the more interesting.

Old spice racks, for instance, are known to be really effective ways to show off these collectibles. Each section of the rack is just the right size for each little article, and does the job perfectly. Still another great way to keep the articles safe and in full view all the time, are old wooden cola shipping crates. These are apparently perfect for the purpose, and simply need to be hung against a wall, and the treasured articles placed inside each section.

Another great idea for showing off your mini tumblers is to make the cabinets yourself. This works especially well if you have your own private bar at home. You could make tray like frames, with the appropriate size compartments, and line the walls of your bar with them. If you use mirrors as a background in the trays, the effect will be brilliant, and the trays definite conversation pieces.

Having a passion for accumulating a certain item is very satisfying when you can watch your passion grow in numbers over the years. There is a certain amount of pride involved as well, when the collection, and the beautiful way they are presented, is admired by family and friends. This particular hobby is interesting, and the objects are really small, so it is no wonder that extra care is taken to look after them properly.
